Or were you a member of KaCh? Even before the hearing, which Taitz kept describing as a “trial” she was dubious about Judge Malihi’s religious background, wondering if he were Iranian Christian or Muslim, but forgetting that there are Jews in Iran. This morning I awoke to learn that the facebook group: Orly’s World had been deleted by facebook as “hate group” and what made us a “hate group”, why our Constitutional Right to mock Orly Taitz and her batshit birther seditionists. It seems on Facebook, you can call the President all sorts of pejoratives, threaten his life, claim the Courts are corrupt and treasonous when they don’t agree with you, and call for outright sedition, yet, Facebook looks the other way.

If you are going to wander into a Facebook group to take on the members, it is always a good idea to read up on the person you are planning on impersonating, otherwise, you come off reading like a semi-literate baboon. Currently, there is a person pretending to be Emer De Vattel in one of the “Make Fun of Birthers” groups “challenging” us on Vattel’s inivisible “natural born citizen”. Invisible, because De Vattel never used the phrase in his Laws of Nations Or PRINCIPLES OF THE LAW OF NATURE APPLIED TO THE CONDUCT AND AFFAIRS OF NATIONS AND SOVEREIGNS . The French is Le droit des gens or, The Right of the People, if it were “Nations” it would be Le droit des pays. So, right there, we have the first error in translation. How many more are there in that 1883 edition that was digitized in 1999?

G has been taken away, and staff is complicit. I came back from the ER to find cops in the dorm at G’s bed, with one of the staffers standing apparently telling them she’s crazy. So, they took her.
G was bullied into her breakdown. G is maybe 60ish. Sobriety is an unknown quality to the wom en who bullied her. Mean? Only to those who were mean. Get respect? She’s been bullied, called “drunk”, bullies are always the victims, and always howling about how she deserved it. never the victimizer. Take AY-vah, comes and goes as she will, and last monday, as I was doing my wash, started in on me. Yapping that I was here because I had diddled some kid, or fucked someone’s man. Threatened to knock my “nice dentures” out. Staffer was standing by the door listening, and instead of stopping it, let it go on until he realized I wasn’t taking the troll-bait and put a stop to it.

About that “Takeover” by Los Zetas in Laredo….
Over at examiner.com, where I am a photojournalist, there’s a lively thread regarding an article written by another examiner, who without citing her sources except as “anonymous” Laredo PD, wrote a piece of fiction about two ranches OUTSIDE the Laredo PD jurisdiction, being taken over by members of the Los Zetas drug cartel. One of the channel managers doesn’t seem to upset at the “reporters” lack of veracity, so, I answered with this:

Are we noticing a pattern here? Every bit of of this claim, which has now scattered far and wide across the Internet, can be traced back to two anonymous police department sources of a police department that does not even have jurisdiction where the alleged invasion is taking place.
I read a wide variety of news sources, be they rightwing or left, as it makes more informed. I also know that as a blogger, a blogger that has been cited on NPR and CBS.com, I have to cite my sources if I am writing about an article I read, and provide a link back to that original article so my readers can form their own opinions.
IMHO, unless we are more scrupulous in citing sources, and not making up things our of whole cloth, examiner.com will become irrelevant.
Even for me, a mere photojournalist. While I do not have to get written permission to photograph a storefront, I seek a written release if I want to shoot the interior and anyone inside. I know, that I can shoot the exterior of Prudential Arena, and there is nothing that the security can do short of assaulting me. I know, that I cannot shoot inside the Port Authority Bus Terminal, PERIOD, but it’s ok at NY Penn Station and Newark’s Penn Station. What’s the point of this? To illustrate that as reporters/citizen journalists, we have a responsibility to our readers not to gin up fears by posting fiction as fact.
You want to be a citizen journalist? Then, be one. You want to be a fiction writer? Fine, but don’t couch it as journalism
