That’s what got me banned. It was on the Facebook page “Watching for EndTimes” in a thread about ‘judging others” one poster made a comment about “wolf in sheeps clothing”. I compared the Admin to the description. This of course made him angry. After all, no one but he can judge others. He blithered on about not getting anything out of the page, to which I corrected him, politely, that he was. He tells me that “God” told him to bring attention to the nonsense he is spreading around, that’s when I posted the above quote.

And, that’s when he banned me.

A Lesson in Sockpuppetry

Dear Socks,

If you are going to wander into a Facebook group to take on the members, it is always a good idea to read up on the person you are planning on impersonating, otherwise, you come off reading like a semi-literate baboon. Currently, there is a person pretending to be Emer De Vattel in one of the “Make Fun of Birthers” groups “challenging” us on Vattel’s inivisible “natural born citizen”. Invisible, because De Vattel never used the phrase in  his  Laws of Nations Or PRINCIPLES OF THE LAW OF NATURE APPLIED TO THE CONDUCT AND AFFAIRS OF NATIONS AND SOVEREIGNS . The French is Le droit des gens or, The Right of the People, if it were “Nations” it would be Le droit des pays.  So, right there, we have the first error in translation. How many more are there in that 1883 edition that was digitized in 1999?

Another thing, my dear sockpuppets and wanna-be torlls, if you have to run back your froup for support, you’ve lost.

My fellow Americans,

The best part of being an American Citizen, besides having the Constitution to guide us into the FUTURE, is that we can disagree on all manner of things. Boxers v. Briefs 49ers v. KC, SC BBQ v. NC BBQ, keeping the 16th Amendment and our Right to select our Representatives in DC v. Those who would willingly give that Right back to the State Government where corruption reigns. Our the Right for our children to grow up safely as opposed to being put to work such as they do in India, Indonesia and other nations.

Yes, I am a member of the media, and I do intend to submit my questions to Dr. Taitz. I have asked her to release her immigration records, which she is refusing to do citing her many trials around the country. I am accused of “betraying the Constitution”, when it is Dr. Taitz and her ilk that you unthinkingly and unquestioningly hand your frequent flyer miles and hard earned dollars to. I ask you only to do one thing. It’s not easy. But I ask itof you as a fellow American:

What do you really fear? A name? A skin color? The reality that anyone can really grow up to be President of the United States? All I ask of you is to think about it. I don’t need to know your answer, as it is between you and your God.

Today, I received a “love letter” from one of you in my Facebook message.

If I was standing before you, I would tell your a traitor and run you out of my country. When McCain was asked to show his BC, he did without question. This Liar in Chief you are suppoting is hiding all his records and signed an executive Order to seal all his records. “Those who don’t want to disclose the truth, have something to hide” ~Barry Soetoro/Obama~ The only way to find the truth, is to have a judge that isn’t corrupt and media POS like you to report it. Since Soetoro is signing NDAA, you become a target for every soldier that will defend the Oath they swore to, KILL the Fucking Enemy! Jackie Cooper, Child Star in ‘Our Gang’ Comedies and Emmy-Winning TV Director, Dead at 88 : TVBizwire : TVWeek – Television Industry news, TV ratings, analysis, celebrity event photos.

This truly saddens me. I had the very good fortune to work with Jackie back in the mid-1980’s on a TV pilot. Sure, I was just an extra, but he came over to talk to me and my “husband”  (We were “plant shoppers”) during a break, and wished he could put us “in the foreground” (yeah, the leads were THAT bad).

I remember seeing his long look at the poker game four other extras were playing in holding as we waited for the rain to clear, so we could continue work.  (Scene couldn’t be matched and was cut)

(Wot? horrible starring actors?) Well, this pilot was so awful, it was shelved,and a few year slater was an awful movie-for-tv

Jackie Cooper was a good man. I’m gonna miss him.

Terry Jones is directly responsible for this. Arrest Jones for giving Aid & Comfort. The 1st Amendment does not protect one from the yelling of “FIRE” in a crowded theater if there is no fire, and done purely for the panic response. Jones is a fifth columnist who needs to be tried as such. He cannot hide behind “we gave it a trial and found it guilty”. That’s the same as holding a fencepost responsible for embedding a splinter in a rancher. The teaparty and people of Jones’ quasi-religious ilk refuses to understand that words have consequences. and some are very very fatal. Has it occurred to any of you that he has a martyr’s complex? He’s repeated this often enough to make me think it’s a dog whistle. He identifies with Howard Beale in NETWORK.

The Tale of Kochheaded Dave

Poor little Davey Koch. Someone punked his Governor, and now he’s crying about “Identity Theft”

 

Yes, children, gather round and hear a tale of Poor Kochheaded Dave.
Dave was so wealthy, even he was impressed by it, and thought he was Master of the World. One day, while Kochheaded Dave was petting his second favorite pet, it was an oddly adorable, yet vicious little beast called a “teaparty”, his first, another vicious, yet unadorable beast called a “Walker” was being tutored in the art of deception.

A man, an alien being known as a “Journalist”, picked up his telephone, and made a call to the pet, Walker, and knowing he wouldn’t get to talk to the Walker if he revealed himself, pretended to be Kochheaded Dave. Hilarity ensued as the Walker rolled over and exposed his throat to the Pretender as the Pretender played his unpaid role. The Pretender, when he had had his fill, ended the call, and revealed himself to the World. Now, this revelation caused the Walker great anguish at having been revealed to be the pet of Kochheaded Dave, and Dave. Well, Kochheaded Dave was outraged at the humiliation of his pet Walker, and the admission that he, Kochheaded Dave owned such a pet.

Thinking about what recourse he had, Kochheaded Dave went to the press and declared:

“It’s a case of identity theft,” Koch told the New York Times in a rare interview Friday. “I didn’t even know his name before this brouhaha erupted.”

Poor Kochheaded Dave was beside himself (his favorite sexual position) and “joked”:

“I was thinking to myself, ‘My God, if I called up a senator or a congressman to discuss something with them, and they heard ‘David Koch is on the line,’ they’d immediately say, ‘That’s that fraud again — tell him to get lost!'” he said.

And, you know, that Senator would be quite correct in that assessment.

Why, yes, I will be hosting a talk show

over here Fridays 5-7 PST/8-10 EST. I’ll be talking about Language and how it shapes the Consensus Reality and what happens when language gets schizoid. Call and let’s discuss the following premise:

I’ll be bringing up elements of what some call “woo” and others call “new age” and others NWO, call it what you will, but the fact remains, we as a whole, agree on our Reality and what it means to us. The fabric of Reality is being torn and patched by the Rightwing from the Kochs to Heritage Foundation to Glenn Beck and Orly Taitz. It’s my opinion, that there is a shift from a Forward looking reality where our Nation excels to one where we live in a Dystopian World not so much of William Gibson or Phillip K. Dick or even Orwell or Huxley, but one of our own intentional making.

Progressives, Liberals, and yes, my own dear Pagans have let the frightened Right shift perceptions, while we just whinge and stamp our feet. Their tactics are not “occult” or “mysterious” they’re actually rather blatant and simple:
Story-telling.
Metaphor
Trust me. I know what they’re about.
Let’s tell some stories ourselves, shall we?

About that “Takeover” by Los Zetas in Laredo….

Over at examiner.com, where I am a photojournalist, there’s a lively thread regarding an article written by another examiner, who without citing her sources except as “anonymous” Laredo PD, wrote a piece of fiction about two ranches OUTSIDE the Laredo PD jurisdiction, being taken over by members of the Los Zetas drug cartel. One of the channel managers doesn’t seem to upset at the “reporters” lack of veracity, so, I answered with this:

According to Bob Owens, a blogger over at Andrew Breitbart’s biggovernment.com, the Examiner who broke “broke” the story is refusing to confirm her sources to him. Now, biggovernment is itself right wing, having been responsible for the destruction of ACORN through selectively edited video by James O’Keefe,(I should also point out, that ACORN has been cleared of wrongdoing, but the goal has been achieved) and caused the firing of Ms. Sherrod again by selectively edited video. Mr. Owens, while still blaming the Obama Admin. for the hoax, still calls everyone who promoted it:

Cypress News publisher John G. Winder is sticking with the story, not because any additional evidence has been produced, but because the two sources for his version of the story, blog Digger’s Realm and Examiner.com’s San Diego (CA) County Political Buzz Examiner blogger Kimberly Dvorak are standing by their militiamen and anonymous police sources.

The original Cypress Times story? A re-publication of the original Digger’s Realm story.

The Digger’s Realm story? Two anonymous Laredo police sources and a San Diego California Minuteman named Jeff Schwilk who claims he got his information from… an anonymous Laredo PD officer.

San Diego County Poltical Buzz Examiner Kimberly Dvorak? She claims her information also comes from two anonymous Laredo PD sources.

Are we noticing a pattern here? Every bit of of this claim, which has now scattered far and wide across the Internet, can be traced back to two anonymous police department sources of a police department that does not even have jurisdiction where the alleged invasion is taking place.

I read a wide variety of news sources, be they rightwing or left, as it makes more informed. I also know that as a blogger, a blogger that has been cited on NPR and CBS.com, I have to cite my sources if I am writing about an article I read, and provide a link back to that original article so my readers can form their own opinions.
IMHO, unless we are more scrupulous in citing sources, and not making up things our of whole cloth, examiner.com will become irrelevant.
Even for me, a mere photojournalist. While I do not have to get written permission to photograph a storefront, I seek a written release if I want to shoot the interior and anyone inside. I know, that I can shoot the exterior of Prudential Arena, and there is nothing that the security can do short of assaulting me. I know, that I cannot shoot inside the Port Authority Bus Terminal, PERIOD, but it’s ok at NY Penn Station and Newark’s Penn Station. What’s the point of this? To illustrate that as reporters/citizen journalists, we have a responsibility to our readers not to gin up fears by posting fiction as fact.

You want to be a citizen journalist? Then, be one. You want to be a fiction writer? Fine, but don’t couch it as journalism
