“Any commissioned officer who uses contemptuous words against the President, the Vice President, Congress, the Secretary of Defense, the Secretary of a military department, the Secretary of Transportation, or the Governor or legislature of any State, Territory, Commonwealth, or possession in which he is on duty or present shall be punished as a court-martial may direct.”

And, so, they issued a DMCA takedown notice by whining about  a fucking comic book using their own words. and it stung.

So, here’s my take: It’s not the fans who are violating the DMCA, but the hosting sites, since they are the ones making money from our fan vids. I am with EMI on this:

EMI’s suit will likely revolve around two legal issues. First, are video-sharing sites — which organize, categorize and profit from user-uploaded copyrighted content — liable for copyright infringement? While the Digital Millennium Copyright Act includes “safe harbor” provisions for sites that promptly remove videos upon receipt of takedown notices from content owners, copyright owners claim that the DMCA, enacted years before video-sharing sites even existed, was never intended to protect sites that built businesses around rampant, unlicensed use of others’ intellectual property, especially when they encourage users to upload copyrighted content. (EMI also alleges that Vimeo itself uploaded videos containing its music, activity that isn’t covered by DMCA safe harbors.)

The suit however, does not cover the fanvids that are created, by say, fans of The Colbert Report, The Daily Show or even, the O’Reilly Factor (Disclaimer: I have made fanvids for all three shows. Hey, even O’Reilly needs…. uh… uhm….) But, since we the creators of these videos are not the ones profiting….

J’Accuse Mike Huckabee of Complicity in the murder of four Tacoma Cops

I accuse Mike Huckabee of Indifference. His indifference and callousness regarding his role in the execution of four Tacoma cops is not surprising, or even saddening. It’s par for the “Me Generation” course. It’s par for the American NeoConFundie course. It’s their Gospel. The Gospel of “It wasn’t me” You were all about clemency. 703 people were granted clemency during your tenure as Governor SEVEN HUNDRED THREE. More than any other Governor. who then went to Missouri, and raped and murdered someone. No, it’s not your responsibility. I mean you said you prayed with him – I mean he  “converted” to Christianity – Christianity. The New GET OUT OF JAIL FREE card?

Huckabee, who was criticized during his run for the Republican presidential nomination in 2008 for granting many clemencies and commutations, cited Clemmons youth. Clemmons later violated his parole, was returned to prison and released in 2004.

On Sunday, Huckabee issued this statement on his Web site: “Should he be found to be responsible for this horrible tragedy, it will be the result of a series of failures in the criminal justice system in both Arkansas and Washington state.”

CBN.com – Halloween—October 31—is considered a holiday in the United States. In fact, it rivals Christmas with regard to how widely celebrated it is. Stores that sell only Halloween-related paraphernalia open up a few months before the day and close shortly after it ends. But is Halloween a holiday that Christians should be observing?

The word “holiday” means “holy day.” But there is nothing holy about Halloween. The root word of Halloween is “hallow,” which means “holy, consecrated and set apart for service.” If this holiday is hallowed, whose service is it set apart for? The answer to that question is very easy—Lucifer’s!

Ok. I admit it. I am  a “Witch” am I Good? Bad? Indifferent? Depends on how mad you make me. but this is ridiculous.

The word “occult” means “secret.” The danger of Halloween is not in the scary things we see but in the secret, wicked, cruel activities that go on behind the scenes. These activities include:

  • Sex with demons
  • Orgies between animals and humans
  • Animal and human sacrifices
  • Sacrificing babies to shed innocent blood
  • Rape and molestation of adults, children and babies
  • Revel nights
  • Conjuring of demons and casting of spells
  • Release of “time-released” curses against the innocent and the ignorant.

Another abomination that goes on behind the scenes of Halloween is necromancy, or communication with the dead. Séances and contacting spirit guides are very popular on Halloween, so there is a lot of darkness lurking in the air.

WTF? I mean, I NEVER have Demonic sex. I have Wicked Good Sex, but never NEVER “Demonic”. Then, there is the “Ritual Child Abuse” crap. You know, the crap that ruined the McMartins in California.
Well, guess what Christians, praying to a saint is Idolatry. But, you’re too ignorant to see that.

This has been weighing on me for a while. In college, I suffered a bout of severe depression. I told my parents about it, and they just blew it off. No surprise really. I mean when I was in High School, my mother noticed that I was indulging in “unhealthy brooding”, which I described to my friends as “suffering from melancholy”, but was anything done? No. Nothing, save that I was indulged in my unhealthy brooding. and, I learned to not let them know. I cut myself. with a pen. I was going to be an actor, and didn’t want scars. so, I ‘slashed’ myself with bic pens.

In junior college, I made an attempt to get counseling, but the mental health pro I saw sat there with a dispassionate, “You bore me” attitude. I never sought help again. The episode of depression happened while I was at UC Davis. I forced myself to class, and no one mentioned the silent crying in class. I sat there. with tears rolling down my face and not one classmate asked if I was “OK”. The first clue no one cared

My second clue was when, in 1997, I called the nyc Suicide Prevention, and had the dickhead on the line tell me he had to end the call. apparently threatening to kill ones self is not an emergency to him.

In 2001, a 9/11 crisis counselor sent me to a shrink and, I was diagnosed with Personality Disorder NOS. Which was a few years before my diagnosis of ADHD in 2005. Now, the doctor diagnosing my ADHD never prescribed anything for me.

and, where am I now? right about where I was in 1984. Unmotivated. and unhappy. and, the First Underachiever in my family.
