Trust.

what is the basis? why is it betrayed? been pondering these questions of late. I’m guilty of betraying a trust. I was forgiven for that transgression, and I’ve been very mindful about what that word implies: I am willing to carry the weight of your joys, innermost secrets, and fears. I do this gladly, for that is what a friend does.

I’ve been betrayed. More than once. I’ve been lied to. Multiple times, all while the backfriend says “oh, no, not me”.

What has it come to? A choosing between friends. See, I know who the wronged, betrayed party is. And, my backfriend, it isn’t you.
