Pray for (or Prey On) Newark?

Pray for Newark seeks not to make our streets safer, but to make Newark a Christian Theocratic city as it was in its founding in 1666. As a non-Christian, this concerns me, Mr Mayor. You have endorsed the program, but Mr. Mayor, are you aware that the program is tied to the “Kill the Gays Movement in Uganda? from a current post about PfN:

Pray for Newark was founded by Newark suburb resident Lloyd Turner, who in October 2008 spoke at an Argentina conference of the International Transformation Network (ITN), whose CEO Ed Silvoso wrote, in his 2007 book, Transformation: Change the Marketplace and You Change the World, that homosexuality is caused by demon possession and that HIV and AIDS can be cured through faith healing and prayer. According to Silvoso, the entire national police force of the Philippines is being indoctrinated in this ideology.

You are a vocal supporter of GLBT Rights, yet, you have endorsed these medival minded people?
Demon possession? Really, Mr. Mayor? or uses military language to describe the work?  That credits Jesus with the drop in crime? Does that imply that only non-Christians are dying here?

In 1975, Bill Bright, founder of Campus Crusade, and Loren Cunningham, founder of Youth With a Mission, had lunch together in Colorado. That message was that if we are to impact any nation for Jesus Christ, then we would have to affect the seven spheres, or mountains of society that are the pillars of any society. These seven mountains are business, government, media, arts and entertainment, education, the family and religion.

Mr. Mayor, How can you claim to support Gay Rights, when Prayer For Newark and its ilk do not. IN fact, consider it to be “demon possession” what do they consider us non-Christians? They are very quiet about that. Mr. Mayor, if a Muslim organization came to you for support in their efforts to “take back the streets for Allah” and make them safer, would you endorse that?

“Pray for Newark” has MAPPED our city, Mr. Mayor. That means, they know where every church, mosque, synagogue, stores that sell merchandise they find “aberrant” are located. If they infiltrate the Police Department, how safe will the LGBT Community or anyone not on the 7 Mountain plan feel? They want to TAKE CONTROL OF NEWARK. CULTURALLY, SPIRITUALLY AND ECONOMICALLY.

Now, what was that about “none may buy or sell….”?

So, here’s my take: It’s not the fans who are violating the DMCA, but the hosting sites, since they are the ones making money from our fan vids. I am with EMI on this:

EMI’s suit will likely revolve around two legal issues. First, are video-sharing sites — which organize, categorize and profit from user-uploaded copyrighted content — liable for copyright infringement? While the Digital Millennium Copyright Act includes “safe harbor” provisions for sites that promptly remove videos upon receipt of takedown notices from content owners, copyright owners claim that the DMCA, enacted years before video-sharing sites even existed, was never intended to protect sites that built businesses around rampant, unlicensed use of others’ intellectual property, especially when they encourage users to upload copyrighted content. (EMI also alleges that Vimeo itself uploaded videos containing its music, activity that isn’t covered by DMCA safe harbors.)

The suit however, does not cover the fanvids that are created, by say, fans of The Colbert Report, The Daily Show or even, the O’Reilly Factor (Disclaimer: I have made fanvids for all three shows. Hey, even O’Reilly needs…. uh… uhm….) But, since we the creators of these videos are not the ones profiting….

Yep, I now have Federal proof of Citizenship & Name. Still not good enough for the State of NJ. They still want me to undertake an undue burden and go to court and CHANGE MY NAME. yes, New Jersey expects me to file a petition to return to my birth name, so, five months after that, I can go back to court and seek to change my name back to the name I have used since 1988. The name my bank account is in, the name my passport is in. Undue Burden.

Wither the ACLU/NJ?
They called me a few months ago, sort of expressing interest. I told them I was willing to go public, and telling them there were no skeletons in my closet – I’m still waiting on them to call back.

In the meantime, the ACLU has decided that going to bat for aRon Paul supporter who was harassed by the TSA for his carrying $4,700 in cash was more important than my being able to get a drivers license. I cannot write a check, because a passport isn’t acceptable ID for those companies that do check verification. Can’t get a library card.

But I CAN pay state taxes. The State acknowledges my name by the collection of taxes,yet, won’t issue me ID..

I now think, that I am waiting for my own “Godot” – that the ACLU/NJ doesn’t really exist, yet we all think it does and we hope it shows up.

My next step? file the damn lawsuit on my own. Pro Se. that’s what it’s called, isn’t it?

or, F$CKU “SOCIAL MEDIA FUCKUPS! today, the jacktards over @twitter (I’m talkin’ 2 u @biz) decided that unless we were following everyfuckingboody, we would no longer be privy to onesided conversations. Apparently, the “Social Media Mavens” with tens of thousands of followers decided they didn’t like the groundlings’ chatter polluting/pissing their one-way stream. We must listen. and only listen.

So, no more am I privy to wingnut chat – maybe #tcot and @KarlRove complained they were being made fun of…

THE doctor who sparked the scare over the safety of the MMR vaccine for children changed and misreported results in his research, creating the appearance of a possible link with autism, a Sunday Times investigation has found.

Confidential medical documents and interviews with witnesses have established that Andrew Wakefield manipulated patients’ data, which triggered fears that the MMR triple vaccine to protect against measles, mumps and rubella was linked to the condition.

The research was published in February 1998 in an article in The Lancet medical journal. It claimed that the families of eight out of 12 children attending a routine clinic at the hospital had blamed MMR for their autism, and said that problems came on within days of the jab. The team also claimed to have discovered a new inflammatory bowel disease underlying the children’s conditions.

Found in Pirated Adobe Photoshop CS4

Exploit: OSX.Trojan.iServices.B Trojan Horse

Discovered: January 25, 2009

Risk: Serious

Description: Intego has discovered a new variant of
the iServices Trojan horse that the company discovered on January 22,
2009. This new Trojan horse, OSX.Trojan.iServices.B, like the previous
version, is found in pirated software distributed via BitTorrent
trackers and other sites containing links to pirated software.
OSX.Trojan.iServices.B Trojan horse is found bundled with copies of
Adobe Photoshop CS4 for Mac. The actual Photoshop installer is clean,
but the Trojan horse is found in a crack application that serializes
the program.

With intel inside macs now face the same crap as Windows users. Get AV software such as the FREEWARE ClamX or buy it and keep it updated. don’t let your mac become part of a botnet. Windows users, I offer the same suggestion. Software Firewalls are good too. close ports you don’t use which is 99% of the ports available.
