To all who are crying that McChrystal’s right to free expression have been violated, I give you this:
“Any commissioned officer who uses contemptuous words against the President, the Vice President, Congress, the Secretary of Defense, the Secretary of a military department, the Secretary of Transportation, or the Governor or legislature of any State, Territory, Commonwealth, or possession in which he is on duty or present shall be punished as a court-martial may direct.”
Any questions? Good. Because there is always the possibility as I have heard, that he doesn’t want to be the General who lost Afghanistan. There are republicans who have now put their careers on the line, as Bob Ingliss (R-SC) did by simply being principled. Sen. Graham is now going to be targeted for his support for Obama’s decision and, as usual,the wingnuts are going batshit:
